 PALO SANTO AS A HEALING AND CLEANSING AID

Palo Santo is one of the plants we give patients the option of having burned during ketamine sessions. It typically helps people relax and sets an aromatic ambiance in the ketamine space.

Bursera Graveolens (Palo Santo) grows in Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and other regions of central and south America.

It's a sacred plant medicine to Indigenous peoples of central and south America and can be used to smudge one’s self/energetic field or one’s space for cleansing, clearing, and healing. Research suggests that Palo Santo oil is antimicrobial and antifungal.

When it's ethically harvested, it is collected off of the ground, not directly from the tree.

To smudge, hold the Palo Santo stick at a 45-degree angle and apply the flame to the end. It may require relighting; this is typical with Palo Santo.
